The game illustrated in the photograph to the left was based on a prime time television show that was at first telecast from 1978 though 1984.
It also had a short lived revival (with a different cast) for a part of 1998 and 1999.
The game illustrated was produced by Ideal Toy Company in 1978 and donated to the Museum in 1991. Pictured on the left of the box was the show's star Ricardo Montalban, and on the right Herve Villechaize.
Each weekly episode of Fantasy Island - a remote island resort - began with some tourist who flew into the resort in the hopes of living out a fantasy. The game is for two to four players who are provided with scenarios related to the theme of the telecast.
