Superstar Football

Superstar Football

This Bambino manufactured game was purchased by the Museum in 1982. It includes instructions in both English and French. The plastic case is approximately 21.5cm long x 19.5cm wide x 12cm high, with 2 built in speakers. A battery door accepts 4AA batteries or an AC adapter can be attached. The top surface of the case is flared out and angled at 45 degrees and is divided into two sections - a playing field and an area reporting game status and score. The base section features a set of buttons used to play the game: "pass", "kick/punt", "score", directional buttons (up/down/toward goal), and an on/off level of play switch.Combination of depressed buttons are used to create a "tackle" situation.

How to play the game

Various LEDs indicate the action of the game on the stylized football field. A player uses the directional buttons to enable movement toward the "goal post", i.e. - running, tackle, kicking, etc.. While a player uses the various buttons to control the action on the screen, use of the "pass" button causes the computer to take over.
