A Bilboquet Game from Mexico

How to play the game

This Bilboquet is a ring and pin game. The handle is the "pin", while the "ring" is the tethered cylindrical object. The intent is to throw the cylindrical object into the air and place the "pin" in the hole at the bottom of the object as it falls. The weight of the cylinder makes the task easier said than done!

About The Equipment

This Bilboquet was purchased in 1979 in Mexico. The game is machine made of hardwood and is hand painted. The handle is 16cm long, and tapers at one end into a point or "pin". A tethered cylindrical shaped heavy solid wooden object is 10cm long x 6cm diameter. It is flat on the bottom with a hole in the center. The string tether is 30cm long and is attached to the top of this object by a metal eye-hook.
