A Bilboquet Game from Finland

Finnish Bilboquet

How to play the game

This Bilboquet is a a cup and ball game. It is a stylized version, in that the "cup" is a paddle with a hole in it. The intent is to throw the tethered ball into the air and catch it in the paddle hole as the ball falls. The tether is short, and both the paddle and the ball are made of a light-weight wood. These factors make it easy to control the equipment using only one hand. This suggests that the manufacturer intended this version for the use of children.
