Eagle Multigame Board

Multigame Board

The photograph on the left is of a square multigame board 26 1/2" wide.

It is made of wood, with a metal rim surrounding the outside, and white plastic covers on the corners of the board.

A centered circular playing area on this side is designed as a Crokinole board, with three round black concentric circular lines surrounding a "bullseye" in the center. The innermost circular line has 8 raised plastic pins - each pin is evenly spaced from the other along this line.

The maker of this board is Eagle Toys, Ltd., Canada. It assumed that the board was made and distributed in the late 20th century.

Multigame Board reverse side

The reverse of the board (pictured on the right) is made of a smooth compositional material.

The playing surface on this side features a standard Parcheesi board (upper left of the board); an 8x8 matrix for Chess or Checkers (upper right of the board); Snakes and Ladders or Chutes and Ladders (lower left of the board); and a Chinese Checker board (lower right of the board).

The seeming design around the outside of these game boards are another game known as Steeple Chase. There were no instructions with the board for playing these games when it was donated to the collection, nor were there any included pieces for any of the games.
