The photograph above is of a box of 16 match boxes. In each matchbox is a different game. This unique collection of games was donated to the Museum in 1981.

If you move your mouse cursor over each match box without clicking, a small window will tell you the name of the game in each box.

To see details about a game in one of the boxes - put your mouse cursor over the box of your choice. When the "pointer" changes to a "hand", CLICK on that spot to be taken to a Webpage with an explation of the game in that matchbox.

The lower outer box is a carboard drawer inside a clear plastic sleeve. This drawer is 14.4cm long x 21cm wide x 1.5cm high. The plastic sleeve is open on two sides to enable placement of the cardboard drawer. The sleeve is 14.6cm long x 21.2cm wide x 1.8cm high.

This object was distributed by Das Spielzimmer (The Game Room), Frankfurt, Germany in the 1970s. On the side of the outer box printed in red is 16 Zundholzspiele (Matchbox Games). On the bottom of the outer box is a description of the 16 game in German and French. The box has the serial number 15-19.
