Crokinole Board

Crokinole Board

The photograph on the left is of a octagonal Crokinole board 11 1/4 inches wide. The playing surface is 9 3/4 inches.

It is made of wood stained golden brown. It has a raised wooden rim surrounding the playing surface. Three round black concentric circular lines surround a "bullseye" in the center. The innermost black circular line has 8 raised metal pins - each pin is evenly spaced from the other along this line.

The maker of this board is unknown. It assumed that the board was handmade sometime in the 20th century.

Back of board

The Board is not in good condition, as the playing surface is lifting from the base. Although this board is octagonal in shape on the outer surface, the playing surface is the traditional round board. The photograph on the right shows the the reverse side of this board. The bottom of the board sits on a square wooden platform.
