It is made of plywood stained reddish brown on the playing surface. It has a raised wooden rim around the playing surface that is stained a lighter brown. There is a crack across the playing surface. There is a hole in the center of the "bullseye".

There are metal screws with rubber covers serving as deflector pins on the surface around the "bullseye".

This board was made by Schultz Brothers Manufacturing Company, Ltd., Brandtford, Ontario, Canada. The name of the company is stamped around the center hole. The documentation with this board indicates that the board was produced around 1912.

Back of board

Although this board is octagonal in shape on the outer surface, the playing surface is the traditional round board.

The photograph on the right shows the reverse side of this board. The Board is loosely connected to the back. The bottom of the board shows the attachment of the side rails. The back sits flatly on a table.
