This old rough and tumble game is perhaps based upon an ancient happening.
Any number can play. One player is chosen to be "king". IT or the "king” stands on top of a mound or raised place on the ground (the hill) and announces:
"I am the King, try and unseat me if you can!"
Then each of the other players (or all of them at once) try to unseat the "king” by climbing up to the top and actually pushing or dragging the "king” off the hill. IT tries to prevent this by pushing opponents off the hill every time they attempt to climb up! The new “king” is the one who “unseats” the old “king”.
